Role description
Salesforce Reporting Analyst / PM Sales Operations Long Term Contract Remote (PST Hours) About Our Client Our client is an established organization operating in a dynamic, data-driven environment where sales performance and operational efficiency are critical to success. They serve a diverse customer base and maintain a strong commitment to leveraging technology and analytics to drive business growth. The company values innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement, fostering a culture where team members are empowered to make meaningful impact through their work. With a focus on scalable solutions and strategic decision-making, they're building a world-class sales operations function. Job Description As a Salesforce Reporting Analyst & Project Manager, you'll play a dual role that combines deep technical expertise with strategic project leadership. Your time will be split evenly: 50% developing comprehensive Salesforce reports and dashboards that illuminate sales performance, pipeline health, and operational trends, and 50% dedicated to project management—coordinating initiatives, driving process improvements, and ensuring seamless execution of sales operations enhancements. This role exists to support the sales team by relieving them of administrative work while providing the analytical foundation for strategic decision-making. Day-to-day, you'll balance hands-on Salesforce work—building reports, managing user permissions, resolving data quality issues, and optimizing the CRM—with project coordination and stakeholder communication. Your reports will inform critical business decisions around territory planning, quota setting, and resource allocation. You'll work directly with sales leadership, revenue operations, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business questions into actionable insights. The ideal candidate is passionate about uncovering the "why" behind the numbers and thrives in an environment where analytical rigor meets business strategy. Duties and Responsibilities • Design and build comprehensive Salesforce reports including pipeline analysis, quota attainment tracking, win/loss analysis, customer segmentation, and sales performance metrics. • Manage all day-to-day Salesforce operations including user management, bug resolution, customer view creation, and system maintenance. • Handle data hygiene initiatives such as inactive record management, duplicate resolution, and account ownership updates. • Create automated reports to proactively identify issues across various sales motions and alert stakeholders. • Develop and maintain dashboards that support Sales and Operations decision-making processes. • Collaborate with internal clients to identify analytical requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions. • Determine best practices for sales operations and develop actionable insights and recommendations. • Perform order processing/entry, make price quotations, maintain records, and support RFP responses as needed. Required Experience/Skills • 5+ years of industry experience in data analysis, data science, or sales operations. • 1-3 years minimum of Salesforce reporting experience building comprehensive reports and sales performance dashboards. • Proficiency in building sales performance reports such as pipeline analysis, quota attainment, win/loss analysis, and customer segmentation reports. • Strong understanding of the Salesforce data model, object relationships, and implications of different relationship types. • Expertise in Salesforce formulas for both row-level and aggregate fields and reports. • Deep knowledge of various Salesforce report types and templates including summary, tabular, matrix, and joined reports. • Experience in querying and manipulating large data sets. • Understanding of business drivers behind data and sales operations processes. • Exceptional ability to take initiative, be a self-starter, and solve problems independently. • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to influence decision-makers and build consensus with teams. • Strong organizational skills, time management, and accountability with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Proactive and inquisitive learner who capitalizes on opportunities for improvement. Nice-to-Haves • Salesforce certification such as Salesforce Certified Administrator or Advanced Administrator. • Experience with additional Salesforce tools and integrations. • Background in a fast-paced, metrics-driven sales environment.
