ABAP Developer – SAP ECC Environment Role Overview: As an ABAP Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining custom applications within the SAP ECC landscape. This role requires strong expertise in ABAP programming and a deep understanding of key SAP modules including HR, FI, and MM. You’ll work on both new development and optimization of existing code, with a focus on performance, scalability, and integration. Key Responsibilities: • Develop custom reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflows. • Work with ABAP technologies including module pool programming, ALV reports, BAPIs, BADIs, and user exits. • Optimize and debug ABAP code for performance and reliability. • Adapt custom code to support regular SAP support pack updates. • Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical solutions. • Document technical specifications, test cases, and user manuals. • Conduct unit testing and support integration and user acceptance testing. • Participate in agile development teams and sprint planning. System Landscape & Tools: • SAP Version: ECC (latest version with regular support pack updates) • Critical Modules: HR, FI, MM • Integration Technologies: CPI, BTP, OData, REST, XML/JSON • Development Methodology: Agile Development Scope: • 50% New Development – Building new custom solutions. • 50% Maintenance & Optimization – Enhancing and tuning existing ABAP code.
