Job Title: SAP Technical Consultant Start Date: 8/18/2025 Interview Process: 1 step interview - 30 minutes Job Duration: 6 months (extension or conversion) Location: Houston downtown (1111 Louisiana Street, Houston TX) • hybrid model / 3 days onsite, 2 days remote Need LinkedIn Reason for need: Enhancement and production support for now and may move to S/4 transformation project post conversion Project Details: will support the SAP PM/SM & PS Modules. Responsible for providing technical expertise for projects, system enhancements and production support. Will also involve working closely with team members of other SAP ABAP and configuration groups such as SAP-CCS, SAP-MM, SAP-FI and SAP-BW groups. Must have skills: • 10+ years of SAP development experience in the areas of PM, SM and PS modules • SAP S/4 experience & BTP (business technology platform) experience • Experience with maintenance of the SAP technical infrastructure within ECC • Experienced with using SAP web and integration technologies • Hands on experience of integrating SAP with external applications - such as web applications Soft skills: • Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas, both verbally and in written form to technical and non-technical peers Nice to have skills: • Utilities experience a plus Education/Certification Requirements: • N/A Day to day responsibilities: • Develop and enhance ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflow (RICEFW) in the PM, SM and PS modules of SAP. • Collaborate with functional consultants, business analysts and end-users to gather requirements, analyze business processes and propose technical solutions. • Design and implement custom functionalities, user exits and enhancements to optimize SAP system performance and meet business objectives. • Perform complex debugging and troubleshooting of ABAP programs to identify and resolve issues efficiently. • Conduct unit testing, integration testing and performance tuning of ABAP programs to ensure reliability, stability, and optimal system performance. • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to peers, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices. • Stay updated with the latest SAP ABAP technologies, tools, trends and recommend improvements and innovations to enhance system capabilities. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including functional consultants, project managers and technical teams to deliver high -quality SAP solutions on time and within budget. • Responsible for production support issues that arise. This involves technical knowledge for troubleshooting issues to determine whether process, development/ABAP, security, or configuration needs to change. • Participate in blueprinting and project design sessions when assigned to understand business requirements and validate process approaches. • Maintain good understanding of SAP technical concepts/technologies, SAP releases and patches, including applying OSS notes. • Fosters environment of operational excellence and innovation through encouraging new process and technology development for improvement in systems or workforce productivity while maintaining sensitivity to costs of services, • Provide on-call support (rotation) needed during non-business hours for emergency issue. • Provide EOP (Emergency Operations Pan) support as required. • Provide DR (Disaster Recovery) support as required. • Performs all aspects of work with a high degree of effectiveness, efficiency, and accuracy. • Establish and maintain partnerships with client organization, functional and other IT team members. • Provides technical guidance, coaching, and mentoring to co-workers on PM related components.
