Role description
SAP SCT Technical Consultant (CPE Specialist) - Contractor
Linx-AS is looking for an SAP SCT Technical Consultant (CPE Specialist) for a contracting opportunity. The position will be remote and does not require travel. This opportunity will start immediately and will be required for 2-3 months with the potential to be extended.
The selected candidate should have experience with:
· SAP Sustainability Control Tower (SCT): End-to-end implementation and configuration of the SCT environment on SAP BTP.
· CPE-UM (Unified Model): Extensive hands-on experience with the Calculation and Processing Engine, including designing environments, functions, and executable processes.
· Data Modeling: Expert knowledge in Core Data Services (CDS) and SAP HANA Cloud data modeling within the sustainability context.
· ESG Data Management: Handling quantitative ESG data, including data ingestion, validation, and the "Record, Report, Act" lifecycle.
· Integration Frameworks: Experience using the SCT Connector and integrating data from SAP S/4HANA (Universal Journal) and non-SAP sources via APIs.
As an SAP SCT Technical Consultant (CPE Specialist), you will:
· Architect Calculation Logic: Design and maintain complex calculation rules within CPE to automate carbon foot printing, energy intensity, and social impact metrics.
· Develop Estimation Models: Build robust logic for data extrapolation and estimation to fill gaps in primary sustainability data.
· Manage Data Orchestration: Configure the flow of master and measure data between the SCT core and the CPE environment to ensure "single source of truth" reporting.
· Ensure Regulatory Alignment: Translate global sustainability frameworks (e.g., CSRD, EU Taxonomy, GHG Protocol) into technical calculation specifications.
· Optimize Performance: Monitor and troubleshoot calculation cycles and data replication tasks to ensure system reliability and reporting accuracy.
· Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with Sustainability Officers and IT teams to refine business requirements into technical deliverables
The ideal candidate would also have knowledge and experience with:
· SAP BTP Development: Proficiency with the SAP Cloud Application Programming (CAP) model and SAP Business Application Studio (BAS).
· SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC): Building custom dashboards and stories to visualize the output of CPE calculations.
· Advanced Scripting: Experience with SQL Script or Python for complex data transformations.
· PaPM Experience: Familiarity with SAP Profitability and Performance Management (PaPM), as it shares architectural DNA with the CPE.
· S/4HANA Finance: Understanding of the financial integration points (FI/CO) that feed into sustainability metrics.
· Professional Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in SAP Technical Consulting, with at least 2 full-cycle implementations involving SAP SCT or PaPM.
· SAP SCT Expertise: Hands-on experience with the Manage Quantitative ESG Data and Configure and Update Solution applications.
· Advanced CPE Knowledge: Proficiency in maintaining emission factor periods, business activities, and automated calculation rules.
· SAP BTP & Development: Experience with Java (Spring Boot) or Node.js, and the SAP Cloud Application Programming (CAP) model for backend extensions.
· Data Tools: Strong skills in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) for dashboarding and SAP HANA for data modeling and persistence.
· Integration Technologies: Ability to work with SAP Integration Suite, OData services, and APIs for cross-platform data exchange.
· Demonstrated a logical and structured approach to time management and task prioritization.
· Demonstrates a high level of communication skills (both verbal and written).
· Must be able to engage professionally with customers when required have strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Environmental Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
· SAP Fiori Application Developer Certification or related SAP certifications are a plus.
