BrickRed Systems is seeking a talented SAP UI5 Freestyle Developer to design and develop responsive, high-performance SAP UI5 applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in SAPUI5/OpenUI5, strong MVC knowledge, and a solid understanding of RESTful/OData services integration. This role demands creativity, problem-solving skills, and the ability to deliver user-centric applications outside the bounds of standard Fiori Elements templates. Key Responsibilities: • Develop custom SAP UI5 applications using the Freestyle approach (MVC pattern). • Build responsive and user-friendly interfaces using XML/JS Views and SAP UI5 libraries. • Integrate front-end applications with SAP OData services and RESTful APIs. • Configure routing and navigation using manifest.json and Component.js. • Collaborate with UX designers, backend developers, and functional consultants to deliver complete solutions. • Write reusable, testable, and efficient code following SAP best practices. • Perform unit testing and troubleshoot UI-related issues. • Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards. • Optimize application performance across browsers and devices. Required Skills & Experience: • 3+ years of hands-on experience in SAP UI5/OpenUI5 development. • Strong proficiency in MVC architecture, XML views, and JavaScript controllers. • Experience integrating SAP OData services and backend APIs. • Deep understanding of routing, models (JSONModel, ODataModel), and component-based architecture. • Proficiency with SAP Business Application Studio or Visual Studio Code. • Knowledge of Fiori Launchpad integration and app deployment. • Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines is a plus. • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with SAP Fiori Guidelines and UI5 flexibility services. • Exposure to SAP BTP, CAP, or ABAP backend is an added advantage. • SAP UI5 certification is a plus.
