Role description
We are seeking an experienced SAP Web Intelligence (WebI) Reports Developer to design, develop, optimize, and support reporting solutions for DWRβs financial, procurement, HR, payroll, and operational business units. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with SAP BI/BW and functional teams to deliver accurate and meaningful analytics that support strategic decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and enhance SAP Web Intelligence (WebI) reports to support enterprise reporting and analytics needs across DWRβs business units.
Partner with SAP BI/BW developers, functional analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data models, BEx queries, universes, and underlying data structures.
Build complex WebI reports using hierarchies, variables, merged dimensions, prompts, filters, custom formulas, and advanced calculations to deliver dynamic reporting capabilities.
Redesign and optimize existing reports to improve performance, accuracy, usability, and data consistency within the analytics landscape.
Conduct requirements gathering sessions with business users to capture reporting needs and translate them into technical design specifications.
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), validate data accuracy, troubleshoot issues, and perform root-cause analysis in collaboration with BI/BW and functional teams.
Ensure reporting solutions comply with State of California audit standards, data governance policies, and security controls.
Produce and maintain comprehensive documentation, including report design specifications, data mapping, test results, user guides, and training materials for end users.
Assist with scheduling WebI reports, publishing to BI Launchpad, managing universes (IDT/UDT), and supporting day-to-day reporting operations.
Participate in go-live readiness, cutover activities, production deployments, and provide post-implementation and production support for reporting enhancements.
