Role description

Job Description:

Technical

   • Hands-on experience on SAS EBI suite

   • Hands-on experience on working in Unix/Linux and Shell scripting

   • Responsible for Monitoring, reporting, and controlling SAS Server usage

   • Good debugging skills to identify issues in Data and at Infrastructure level.

   • Can describe existing technology infrastructure across all major functions/departments and has a comprehensive grasp of emerging technologies:

   • Has a competent understanding of safe and effective support practices

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:

   • Hands on experience in SAS BI on SAS 9.2, SAS 9.4 Grid platforms, including SAS Connect, SAS/Intranet Server, SAS OLAP Server, SAS Metadata Server, SAS Object Spawner

   • Knowledge on tuning the SAS Enterprise Business Intelligence Server Platform to optimize the Server Performance

   • Experience with databases like Oracle.

   • Strong understanding of software languages, platforms, tools, ITIL framework and methodologies such as SDLC and agile

Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:

   • Experience in migrating SAS Enterprise Server to SAS Grid in Linux environment.

   • Experience in Infrastructure analysis tools like Ganglia, App Dynamics

   • Ability to schedule and Monitor Jobs via Tivoli Work Scheduler, LSF

Interpersonal Skills

   • Expert problem-solving skills

   • Ability to handle stressful situations with perseverance and professionalism

   • Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion to line manager

   • Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully
