Clever is looking for a software engineer for JavaScript-like web page login automation. Our Saved Passwords product is used by over a million students every day to access thousands of learning applications. This is a contract opportunity that begins on July 8th and concludes on December 23rd, 2025. A DAY IN THE LIFE: • Design, develop, test, and deploy short scripts that automate logging into websites • Inspect website source code in a browser and leverage CSS selectors and a proprietary JavaScript-like language to find and fill in form fields and clicking buttons. • Improve our documentation on handling different websites and school special cases • Collaborate with Clever's world-class support team to communicate with school districts WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR: • Availability to work up to 10 hours per week in August and September • Availability to work up to 5 hours per week during off-peak months • Some knowledge or experience in HTML/CSS and ONE or more of the following: JavaScript, golang, Java, C/C++, Python, Ruby and/or functional languages (Haskell, Scala) • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively • Ability to self-manage workload and meet our 7-day SLAs for resolving district requests • Drive to provide the best experience to students and improve our processes • Commitment to equity and belonging: Clever believes that the classrooms we serve and our company's halls should be spaces that are diverse, equitable and inclusive.
