Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer is required to support a large-scale public sector digital transformation programme currently underway. The programme focuses on migrating data from legacy platforms into modern, cloud-based data environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop and support data pipelines as part of a cloud migration initiative
• Build and maintain data processing and transformation workflows using Databricks
• Support the migration of data from legacy systems into cloud-based platforms
• Work closely with architects, project managers and delivery teams to meet programme objectives
• Contribute to the modernisation of ageing enterprise data platforms
• Ensure delivery aligns with governance, security and compliance frameworks
Required Skills & Experience
• Proven commercial experience as a Data Engineer on complex data platforms
• Strong hands-on Databricks experience in production environments
• Demonstrable experience delivering data migration or cloud transformation projects
• Ability to integrate quickly into established teams and deliver at pace
• Active SC clearance or clear eligibility to obtain SC clearance
Nice to Have
• Experience working on public sector or regulated programmes
• Familiarity with secure, compliance-driven delivery environments
• Exposure to large-scale, long-term transformation initiatives
