Senior AI Engineer

Job Title: Senior AI & Data Platform Engineer Location: London, UK - Hybrid: 2-3 Days to Office Every Week Duration: 3 Months - Extendable Employment Type: Inside IR35 Roles & Responsibilities: We are seeking a Senior AI & Data Platform Engineer to design, build, test, and deploy AI-enabled applications and data engineering solutions on AWS. The role requires strong hands-on experience across AI solution development, data engineering, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD automation, with a focus on security, scalability, and governance. You will work closely with AWS team and customer team to deliver robust non-production environments, reusable codebases, and enterprise-grade tooling integrations. Key Responsibilities AI Application & Platform Development • Design, build, test, and deploy AI-enabled applications aligned to Proof of Concept (PoC) baseline capabilities. • Implement solutions using the agreed technology stack to meet functional and non-functional requirements. • Configure and manage AI knowledge bases where required. • Develop and execute unit, integration, user acceptance, and non-functional tests. • Implement security guardrails and response validation for AI solutions. • Prepare documentation for the design and deliver to customer team for approval. Data Engineering • Create system-readable documents derived from AI mapping outputs. • Extract data from CSV and other structured sources and load into validation and target tools. • Define and enforce data quality rules, lineage tracking, and governance standards. • Ensure data processing accuracy, performance, and scalability. • Design and maintain data models, mappings, and transformation logic. Collaboration & Delivery • Work closely with AWS teams and customer stakeholders to support solution implementation. • Contribute to shared AI agent codebases and reusable engineering assets. • Support the development of test cases and validation frameworks across AI and data solutions. Required Skills & Experience Technical Skills • Strong experience in AI/ML-enabled application development and deployment. • Hands-on data engineering experience (ETL/ELT, data modeling, transformations). • Proficiency with AWS services and cloud-native architectures. • Strong testing discipline across unit, integration, UAT, and non-functional testing. • Experience implementing security guardrails and governance controls.
