In partnership with OpenAI, we are redefining the legal AI space and delivering innovative solutions for the future of legal work Role We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer to join our team. You will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and deploying agentic LLM workflows that leverage cutting-edge AI techniques to streamline contract workflows, with a strong focus on the legal domain. This is a unique opportunity to apply your expertise in AI and software engineering to solve complex, real-world challenges in a high-impact setting. Responsibilities β€’ Design and implement robust agentic LLM workflows for production. β€’ Integrate AI solutions with existing SaaS platforms, internal APIs, and legal workflow systems. β€’ Evaluate third-party models, frameworks, and services to determine their suitability and integration potential. β€’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, understand user needs, and deliver high-impact agent solutions. β€’ Build tooling and observability to monitor, test, and evaluate AI agent performance. β€’ Conduct code reviews and maintain best practices in documentation and version control. β€’ Diagnose and resolve issues in AI systems to ensure accuracy, reliability, performance, and scalability. Qualifications β€’ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field. β€’ 3+ years of experience in developing agent products or similar AI applications. β€’ Strong proficiency in one programming language (e.g., Python). β€’ Strong understanding of LLMs, retrieval (RAG), and agent orchestration. β€’ Experience with AI frameworks and agent development tools (e.g., LangGraph, CrewAI, MCP). β€’ Solid problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail. β€’ Effective communication and collaboration skills in a global environment. β€’ Flexibility of collaborating with engineers in Tokyo time zone Preferred Qualifications β€’ PhD. in a relevant technical field. β€’ Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure. β€’ Knowledge of NLP techniques, RAG systems, and prompt engineering. β€’ Contributions to open-source projects or publications in AI research. β€’ Experience deploying and maintaining AI models in production environments. β€’ Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse cultures in both English and Japanese.
