Senior Analytics Engineer Remote 6-Month Contract $80-90/hr About the Role We’re seeking an experienced Senior Analytics Engineer (with a strong foundation in data science and analysis) to join our growing data team. In this hybrid role, you’ll bridge the gap between raw data and actionable insight by designing robust data pipelines, optimizing analytics workflows, and delivering impactful BI visualizations that drive decision-making across Product, Marketing, Sales, and Finance. You’ll play a key role as we scale our data infrastructure, enhance performance and data quality, and empower teams to become increasingly self-sufficient with data. What You’ll Do (and the Tools You’ll Use) • Design Scalable Data Models using tools like dbt and Hevo, ensuring our data infrastructure is clean, modular, and aligned with evolving business metrics and reporting needs. • Build and Optimize Data Pipelines using Airflow or similar orchestration tools to create efficient, reliable data flows—from ingestion to transformation to delivery. • Develop Interactive BI Dashboards in Tableau (or similar tools) that empower business users to explore data, monitor KPIs, and identify opportunities autonomously. • Improve Query Performance and Efficiency, profiling and tuning SQL across large datasets to reduce latency, improve data freshness, and support high-scale reporting needs. • Ensure Metric Alignment & Data Integrity, partnering with Data Engineering to standardize KPIs, monitor anomalies, and promote data quality and governance. • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Stakeholders to understand analytical requirements, deliver insightful reporting solutions, and drive adoption of self-serve analytics. • Apply Analytical Thinking & Data Science Techniques (e.g., customer segmentation, lifetime value models, funnel analysis) to extract deeper strategic insights when needed. What We’re Looking For • 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data analytics, or a hybrid analytics/data science role • Proven experience building and optimizing BI dashboards, data pipelines, and SQL-based data transformations • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and tools like dbt, Airflow, Tableau, or similar platforms • Strong grasp of data modeling, data warehouse architecture, and ELT/ETL best practices • Ability to translate business questions into data solutions that are scalable and maintainable • Excellent communication skills—you can clearly explain technical details to non-technical audiences • Experience working with stakeholders in Product, Marketing, Finance, and/or Sales • Comfortable in fast-paced, iterative environments with shifting priorities Why Join Us?
