Senior API Designer (Java/Springboot)
Location: Remote (EST)
Duration: 18-24 months
Job Summary:
Our banking client will starting a debit card processing conversion from its homegrown system to a new system.
This role involves assisting with the API design, development, system integration for a mission-critical banking transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Helps with design and API build out for seamless system integration and ensuring smooth data flows
• Develop and optimize Java and Spring Boot solutions.
• Troubleshoot and enhance middleware interactions with 30+ banking applications.
Required Skills:
• Senior-level Java and Spring Boot expertise - Java 17 and Spring Boot 3.x required
• API development experience
• Banking system integration experience (Payments/Cards, Fiserv preferred)
• Database experience with SQL
• Experience with DevOps and Deployment (Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub, etc.)
• Kafka or RabbitMQ
• End-to-end SDLC experience with minimal guidance
• Agile experience using Jira / Confluence
• Excellent problem-solving and communication
