Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior AWS Developer with 10–15 years of software development expertise. The selected candidate will work closely with data modernization teams to design, develop, and manage AWS-based solutions supporting large-scale modernization initiatives.
This role requires deep knowledge of AWS Data Lake architecture, cloud migration, application modernization, and hands-on software development skills to build scalable and secure cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and design modernization strategies.
Architect, develop, test, and deploy AWS-based applications, ensuring scalability and security.
Lead efforts in modernizing legacy applications and migrating them to AWS.
Build and optimize enterprise-level AWS Data Lakes.
Provide technical guidance, troubleshooting support, and mentorship to team members.
Identify risks in system architecture and recommend mitigation strategies.
Influence and effectively communicate technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Ensure compliance with security, governance, and industry best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
10–15 years of overall software development experience.
Extensive hands-on experience with AWS Data Lake formation, ingestion, storage, processing, and transformation.
Strong expertise in modernizing legacy applications and cloud migration.
Proficiency in AWS ETL development and customization using Python.
Deep knowledge of AWS Machine Learning services, security, and data governance (permissions, encryption, auditing, compliance).
Strong skills in Python scripting; experience with object-oriented programming is a plus.
Hands-on experience with transactional/RDBMS databases.
Experience in DevOps/DevSecOps, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and automation.
Familiarity with ETL tools and data visualization platforms (Power BI, AWS QuickSight) is preferred.
Must have experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience advising on emerging technologies and industry best practices.
Ability to influence decision-making across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to scalability and performance.
