Job Role: Azure DevOps Engineer
Location: Bellevue, Washington (5 days Onsite)
Duration: Contract (12+Months)
Job Description:
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Azure cloud services, infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipeline development, and automation. Youβll be collaborating with software development teams to streamline deployment processes, improve system reliability, and support continuous integration and delivery frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Design, implement, and maintain Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
β’ Manage Azure resources using ARM templates, Bicep, Terraform, or Azure CLI.
β’ Monitor infrastructure and applications to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability.
β’ Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams to ensure smooth release cycles.
β’ Implement best practices for security, compliance, and cost optimization in Azure environments.
β’ Troubleshoot issues across the DevOps stack: build failures, infrastructure outages, deployment issues, etc.
β’ Maintain and improve configuration management and automation using tools like Ansible, PowerShell, and Azure DevOps Pipelines.
β’ Support containerization strategies using Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes (AKS).
β’ Ensure adherence to DevOps principles and practices across engineering teams.
Required Skills & Experience:
β’ 12+ years of experience in DevOps or a similar role with at least 4-5+ years working in Azure environments.
β’ Strong experience with Azure DevOps Services, Repos, Pipelines, and Boards.
β’ Expertise in scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
β’ Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
β’ Experience with containerization tools such as Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes (preferably AKS).
β’ Proficiency in monitoring and logging tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights).
β’ Solid understanding of source control systems, especially Git.
β’ Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
β’ Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400).
β’ Experience working in an enterprise environment, preferably with Microsoft.
β’ Familiarity with cross-platform deployments including Linux and Windows environments.
β’ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
