Senior BI Developer – OBIEE & Financial Data Systems
Description:
Our client has an immediate need for a Senior BI Developer – OBIEE & Financial Data Systems, who will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing robust BI solutions to support financial reporting, data analysis, and decision-making within the organization
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree is a plus
• Industry certifications would be nice to have
• Experience in Business Intelligence using OBIEE
• Banking/Financial experience
• Data Warehouse and ETL experience
• Understanding of Star Schema and Snowflake
• Working knowledge of Teradata and Hadoop is a plus
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain Business Intelligence solutions using OBIEE, ensuring optimal performance and reliability
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand financial reporting needs and develop solutions that support financial data analysis, forecasting, and strategic planning
• Design and optimize data models (including Star and Snowflake schemas), integrating data from various sources into data warehouses using ETL processes
• Analyze and tune OBIEE reports, dashboards, and queries for optimal performance, especially when dealing with large-scale financial datasets
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, finance, and IT) to gather requirements, ensure seamless integration of BI solutions, and resolve any technical issues or challenges
• Develop and maintain ETL processes using Informatica or other ETL tools to ensure smooth data flow and accurate reporting
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy by applying best practices for data governance and ensuring compliance with industry standards
• Oversee and execute testing procedures, including system validation and performance testing, to ensure that BI systems meet customer requirements and specifications
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior BI developers, sharing knowledge on OBIEE, data modeling, and financial systems
