Senior BI / Tableau Consultant (Contract β 4 to 6 Months)
Location: Fort Worth, TX (Onsite)
Overview
Clarus is seeking a Senior BI / Tableau Consultant to support a short-term project focused on stabilizing and standardizing our reporting environment. This role will be both backend and frontend, requiring hands-on work across the full data flow, from data sources and pipelines to Tableau dashboards. The consultant will also build new dashboards, pulling and transforming data from NetSuite and other data sources into SQL Server, then into Tableau. This is not just about building dashboards, it requires someone who can own the data, validate accuracy, and ensure consistency across reports used by executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Audit existing Tableau dashboards and identify inconsistencies in data and calculations
β’ Validate data against source systems (primarily NetSuite) to ensure accuracy
β’ Pull, transform, and structure data from NetSuite into SQL Server for reporting
β’ Build and enhance Tableau dashboards using validated and standardized data
β’ Standardize calculations, metrics, and definitions across reports
β’ Partner closely with business stakeholders to understand how reports are used and ensure outputs align with operational reality
β’ Investigate and resolve discrepancies in reporting (root cause analysis)
β’ Present and explain data, insights, and changes to executive leadership, including the CEO
β’ Establish validation processes to prevent future reporting issues
What Weβre Looking For
β’ Advanced Tableau experience (dashboard development, troubleshooting, and optimization)
β’ Strong backend/data experience required, including: SQL Server, SSIS, and experience building and maintaining data pipelines
β’ Strong SQL skills with the ability to query, transform, and validate data
β’ Experience working with ERP data (NetSuite experience strongly preferred)
β’ Proven ability to audit and correct inconsistencies in existing BI/reporting environments
β’ Experience building new dashboards from the ground up using multiple data sources
β’ Strong communication skills with the ability to present data clearly and confidently to executive leadership
β’ High level of ownership and attention to detail
β’ Ability to work onsite in Fort Worth

β’ Reports are accurate, consistent, and trusted by leadership
β’ New dashboards are built on clean, validated, and well-structured data
β’ Data flows seamlessly from NetSuite and other data sources into SQL Server, then into Tableau
β’ Key metrics are standardized across all dashboards
β’ Discrepancies are identified and resolved before reports are distributed
β’ Leadership has clear understanding and confidence in the data being presented
