Client Industry: Pharmaceutical Job Mode: Hybrid Duration: 6 Months Contract (Potential Extension Based on Performance and Business Needs) Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Bioinformatics Analyst to support advanced computational biology initiatives focused on large scale omics data analysis and predictive data science. The selected candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary research teams to develop computational solutions, analyze complex genomic datasets, and generate insights that support therapeutic discovery and research. This role requires expertise in bioinformatics, machine learning, cloud computing, and scalable data analysis workflows. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment while delivering high quality and reproducible computational analyses. Key Responsibilities: β€’ Support perturbation analyses to prioritize promising drug targets and drug combinations for efficacy prediction. β€’ Develop and improve computational frameworks for combination signature estimation and biological ranking. β€’ Ingest, clean, preprocess, and integrate large scale multimodal omics datasets for downstream analysis. β€’ Apply artificial intelligence and machine learning approaches including large language model based tools to accelerate analysis, coding, and workflow development. β€’ Develop, evaluate, and optimize predictive models using appropriate training, testing, and validation methodologies. β€’ Collaborate with scientific and technical teams to translate biological questions into computational solutions. β€’ Design, execute, troubleshoot, and document reproducible bioinformatics workflows. β€’ Communicate scientific findings and computational results clearly to cross functional stakeholders. Required Qualifications: β€’ Masters degree with five or more years of experience or PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Computational Genetics, Biostatistics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative discipline. β€’ Strong proficiency in Python or R and standard statistical or machine learning libraries. β€’ Experience processing and analyzing RNA sequencing, imaging data, CRISPR screens, or similar genomics datasets. β€’ Experience working in HPC or cloud computing environments for parallel computing. β€’ Ability to write custom functions in Python or R for statistical analysis and visualization of omics datasets. β€’ Experience developing computational workflows using novel algorithms and biological databases. β€’ Strong understanding of machine learning concepts including model selection, training, testing, and cross validation. β€’ Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills. β€’ Ability to independently execute computational research within project objectives. Preferred Qualifications: β€’ Experience using large language model based tools or coding assistants. β€’ Experience with multimodal omics data integration. β€’ Knowledge of toxicogenomics, mechanistic profiling, or predictive biology. β€’ Experience supporting drug discovery or translational research initiatives.
