Role description
Senior Braze Consultant
• 2 Days Per Week
• Remote (Must be based in UK)
• £570 Per Day (Outside IR35)
We have partnered with a cross-platform media powerhouse reaching millions across Europe who are redefining how audiences engage with content through data, technology, and storytelling. We are investing in our CRM and marketing technology ecosystem to drive deeper, more personalised engagement across listener and player lifecycle journeys.
The Director of CRM & MarTech will play a pivotal role in shaping and scaling the brands CRM and MarTech capabilities across brands and markets. This strategic leadership role sits at the intersection of audience insight, lifecycle marketing, product growth and data-driven automation.
Key Responsibilities
• Own and operate the CRM MarTech roadmap, acting as product owner for Braze and surrounding ecosystem, prioritising initiatives based on impact and feasibility.
• Define, document and communicate technical requirements for CRM features, channels, data integrations, and platform enhancements.
• Act as primary liaison to Data and Engineering teams to enable scalable, real-time customer messaging.
• Serve as the companies internal Braze technical expert, advising on architecture, campaign build best practices, data structuring, and platform optimisation.
• Lead UK-first implementation, building foundations for international scaling (playbooks, reusable assets, platform standards).
• Partner with Product and Marketing teams to shape technically sound, customer-centric CRM use cases.
• Enable new CRM channels and features (eg in-app messages, Content Cards, custom events, conversion tracking) and support QA processes.
• Shape and embed CRM experimentation strategy, advising on A/B testing, control group logic, and measurement frameworks.
• Provide strategic CRM leadership to local market teams, ensuring alignment, shared learnings, and operational consistency across Audio and Consumer Competitions.
• Govern MarTech operational standards: naming conventions, permissioning, documentation, QA processes.
• Champion cross-functional collaboration, connecting CRM, Product, Data, Brand, and Engineering teams.
Must-Have Skills
• Proven leadership in CRM and/or marketing technology, including platform ownership, roadmap definition, and technical delivery in consumer-facing digital businesses.
• Deep hands-on expertise in Braze: custom event tracking, Content Cards, Canvas flows, in-app messaging, Liquid logic, advanced segmentation.
• Experience writing and briefing technical requirements to Product, Data, and Engineering teams.
• Skilled in CRM experimentation and measurement, including incrementality tests and control group frameworks.
• Experience building scalable, modular CRM systems across multi-brand/multi-market structures.
• Strong understanding of data privacy, GDPR, and consent-based marketing.
• Ability to translate strategic goals into platform capabilities, collaborating with Marketing, Product, Data Science, and Engineering.
• Product-led, growth mindset with iterative improvement approach.
