About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to support critical reporting functions related to SOX compliance and regulatory requirements. In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end data operations, including collection, validation, cleansing, transformation, and reporting. You’ll work closely with internal teams to extract meaningful insights and ensure the integrity of high-impact datasets used in financial and compliance reporting.

This role requires a blend of technical expertise (SQL, ETL, Excel) and business acumen to support cross-functional data needs and ensure alignment with audit and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

   • Collect, validate, clean, and analyze data from multiple internal and external sources.

   • Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes, complex SQL queries, and stored procedures to support data pipelines and reporting frameworks.

   • Extract data from relational databases, manual files, and public websites for business analysis.

   • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand data needs and respond to ad hoc data inquiries.

   • Create, automate, and distribute recurring and ad hoc reports using Excel and other reporting tools.

   • Document requirements, logic, processes, and data flows for both internal and regulatory reporting.

   • Ensure the accuracy and compliance of all data outputs, especially in relation to SOX controls and other audit requirements.

Required Skills and Tools:

   • Proven experience working with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle).

   • Proficiency in SQL, ETL design, and report automation tools.

   • Strong understanding of data validation, data quality, and cleansing best practices.

   • Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, advanced formulas, and data visualization.

   • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

   • Experience with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) compliance, audit readiness, or working with regulatory reporting teams.

   • Knowledge of statistical tools or data visualization platforms is a plus (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, R).

Additional Details:

   • This is a high-impact contract role with competitive pay and the opportunity to work in a mission-critical data environment.

   • Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a W2 basis.
