Role description
Our Client, a global healthcare company, are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Data Analytics Consultant to drive data-driven decision-making across global business functions. This role requires a mix of advanced analytical expertise, business consulting acumen, and hands-on technical proficiency. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and optimize data models, dashboards, and analytical solutions that deliver actionable insights aligned with organizational goals. The ideal candidate combines strong quantitative analysis skills with the ability to communicate complex data insights to senior decision-makers, while mentoring junior team members and ensuring data quality and governance throughout. This is a long-term contractual position running through the end of 2026. The client prefers that the candidate to be nearby the greater San Francisco area, but they will consider all profiles from the Pacific and Mountain time zones. Key Responsibilities: • Partner with business stakeholders to translate analytical needs into structured reporting and visualisation solutions. • Design, develop, and optimize data models, dashboards, and automated reporting tools using modern BI and analytics platforms. • Perform advanced data analysis and statistical modelling to support business initiatives and performance measurement. • Conduct data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from multiple sources using SQL and other database management tools. • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across systems while implementing best practices in data governance and security. • Identify opportunities for process automation and reporting efficiency using scripting and programming tools. • Communicate analytical findings clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences, influencing key business decisions. • Mentor junior analysts, promoting knowledge sharing, best practices, and continuous improvement within the analytics function. • Stay abreast of industry trends, analytics innovations, and evolving technologies to recommend improvements to analytical processes and tools. Requirements • 7–10 years of relevant experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or consulting roles. • Strong data and analytics skill set with practical, hands-on experience using: • Python, R, and advanced statistical or modelling techniques. • BI and visualisation tools such as Tableau, Qlik Sense/QlikView, or Power BI. • Database management systems such as SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MS SQL Server. • Proficiency in designing and optimising dashboards, reports, and interactive visualisations to support decision-making. • Experience with ETL processes, data integration, and performance tuning. • High motivation, integrity, and personal initiative with a strong work ethic. • Proven ability to lead and manage small teams or project streams in an analytical or consulting environment. • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and present complex data clearly. • Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset in analytical execution and reporting. • Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences industry experience is highly preferred. • Prior consulting experience and exposure to cross-functional stakeholder management are desirable.
