About The FCA And Team
We regulate financial services firms in the UK, to keep financial markets fair, thriving and effective. By joining us, you’ll play a key part in protecting consumers, driving economic growth, and shaping the future of UK finance services.
SPC oversees firms and individuals (supervision), creates and reviews the rules by which they operate (policy) and identifies and remedies ineffective competition in markets (competition). Sitting within the Specialist Directorate, our Technology, Resilience and Cyber (TRC) department works with financial firms to strengthen the resilience of their systems against cyber threats and operational disruptions -helping protect consumers, safeguard markets, and build trust in the technology that powers financial services.
Role Responsibilities
• This role will provide the opportunity to be part of a ground-breaking new regulatory regime – one of the first in the world – overseeing critical third parties supporting the UK financial system. You will get the opportunity to work with providers critical to the functioning of UK financial services, to ensure that we minimise the impact of operational disruptions on the financial services industry, enhancing UK economic stability, competitiveness and economic growth. Support the Lead Data Analyst by delivering accurate data and insights that strengthen supervisory oversight of Critical Third Parties (CTP) and enhance the operational resilience of regulated firms
• You will get to work on a broad range of topics such as operational and cyber resilience, third party risk and incidents giving you unique insight into the full range of work across the department. Conduct robust, data-driven analysis to identify systemic third parties in the UK financial sector, enabling supervisors and senior leadership to make informed decisions and better understand market dynamics
• Produce clear, impactful Management Information reports that equip senior stakeholders with actionable intelligence on CTP and firm supervisory oversight
• Leverage data and intelligence to create innovative tools and insights that add measurable value to oversight activities
• You will develop a wide network across UK and international regulators, government departments and industry
