Senior Data Analyst / QA Lead 📍 Onsite – New Jersey We’re seeking a hands-on Senior Data Analyst / QA Lead to join our data team. This is a deeply technical role focused on backend data validation, testing, and system QA—not development. You’ll help drive quality across data flows, mentor teammates, and serve as the go-to liaison between business and IT teams. This is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced reporting environment, enjoys leading without formal authority, and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves. Key Responsibilities • Lead technical QA efforts, including backend data testing and validation • Analyze business/technical specs and translate them into test plans and validation strategies • Validate ETL jobs and ensure data integrity across systems • Create test scenarios, identify edge cases, and debug data inconsistencies • Mentor junior team members and organize workstreams within the team • Communicate effectively across business, data, and IT stakeholders • Support ad hoc reporting and data troubleshooting for end users Must-Have Skills • Expert-level SQL – comfortable with complex joins, debugging, and schema analysis • Strong QA and testing background in data warehouse environments • Experience reading and interpreting DBT SQL code (a plus) • Familiarity with Snowflake, AWS (especially S3), Informatica, and DB2 • Understanding of data modeling concepts and backend systems • Experience using Jira for tracking QA tasks and issues • Clear, confident communicator with leadership instincts • Based in New Jersey Nice to Have • Experience in Snowflake or DB2 migrations • Familiarity with API integrations and third-party data vendor testing • Exposure to P&C insurance data or reporting environments
