Senior Data Analyst

Data Analyst Location: Remote Type: Contract 6+ Months Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst with deep expertise in BigQuery and hands-on experience using AI/LLM tools. The ideal candidate excels in complex data analysis, pattern recognition, and data quality evaluation while communicating insights effectively to technical and non-technical audiences. This role requires analytical rigor, adaptability, and the ability to deliver swift, accurate results in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Data Analysis & SQL Expertise • Develop advanced BigQuery SQL queries (joins, CTEs, subqueries, aggregations, geospatial functions such as ST\_GEOG). • Extract, explore, and analyze targeted sample datasets. • Conduct multi-dataset comparative analysis to identify: • key similarities and differences • data strengths/weaknesses • schema variations • data quality issues • unique content patterns Communication & Documentation • Present findings and recommendations clearly and concisely. • Create data visualizations, documentation, and structured presentations for technical and business stakeholders. • Communicate confidently in discussions, providing quick, precise, data-driven responses. Problem Solving & Data Quality • Detect and resolve data anomalies (duplicates, outdated records, inconsistencies, inaccuracies). • Apply strong critical thinking to troubleshoot data issues. • Perform thorough spot-checks and maintain exceptional accuracy in all deliverables. Adaptability & Execution • Respond to ad-hoc data requests rapidly while maintaining quality. • Manage multiple concurrent tasks in a dynamic environment. • Take initiative to deeply explore datasets and uncover insights proactively. AI/LLM Utilization • Use AI and LLM tools to improve analysis workflows, automate tasks, resolve data issues, and accelerate insight generation. • Identify opportunities to embed AI into data operations to enhance efficiency and outcomes. Required Skills & Qualifications • Strong proficiency in BigQuery SQL and advanced functions, including geospatial analysis. • Excellent communication, visualization, and presentation skills. • Proven experience performing complex multi-dataset analyses. • Strong problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail. • Demonstrated ability to validate, troubleshoot, and ensure data accuracy. • Hands-on experience using AI/LLM tools for data-driven tasks. • Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality results quickly.
