About the Company STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a Senior Data Analyst on behalf of our client in multiple locations (Cleveland, Columbus, Albany, Buffalo). This hybrid role is part of a high-impact Fraud/AML data team focused on building and enhancing enterprise data pipelines that support reporting, analytics, and strategic decision-making. About the Role The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data mapping, SQL development, and data analysis within a financial or risk management environment. Responsibilities β€’ Lead data mapping efforts from source systems to target data marts within the data supply chain β€’ Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications and mapping documents β€’ Develop, test, and maintain scalable datasets and reusable SQL code β€’ Perform peer code reviews and ensure high-quality data deliverables β€’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data architecture and solution design β€’ Contribute to data models, entity relationship diagrams (ERDs), and technical documentation β€’ Define business rules, transformation logic, and data validation processes β€’ Support auditability through clear documentation and context diagrams β€’ Identify opportunities to improve data quality, efficiency, and performance β€’ Mentor junior analysts and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement β€’ Participate in Agile ceremonies and data architecture review sessions Qualifications β€’ Master’s degree with 5+ years of experience, OR Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience, OR equivalent work experience β€’ Strong SQL skills with hands-on experience in data querying and transformation β€’ Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), specifically BigQuery β€’ Proven ability to analyze and interpret complex datasets β€’ Experience implementing automated data quality checks and validations β€’ Strong written and verbal communication skills β€’ Experience working in Agile environments using tools such as Jira and Confluence β€’ Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail Required Skills β€’ Strong SQL skills β€’ Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) β€’ Data analysis expertise β€’ Experience in Agile environments Preferred Skills β€’ Experience in Fraud, AML, or financial services domain β€’ Familiarity with ETL tools such as Ab Initio or similar technologies Pay range and compensation package Location: Cleveland, OH | Columbus, OH | Albany, NY | Buffalo, NY (Hybrid – candidates must reside within a 35-mile radius)
