Senior Data Analyst (12-Month Fixed Term Contract) Hayes, Hybrid We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Analyst to join our team on a 12-month contract to cover maternity leave. This is a high-impact role filling the shoes of a senior team member, requiring someone who can operate autonomously, drive technical standards, and manage high-level stakeholder relationships from day one. Key Responsibilities: β€’ Partner with senior stakeholders to identify high-level business problems, formulate hypotheses, and conduct deep-dive analyses to drive strategy. β€’ Take full ownership of analytical projects from requirements gathering to final presentation, ensuring alignment with business goals. β€’ Build and maintain reliable data models using dbt and SQL to ensure reporting is accurate, consistent, and easy to update. β€’ Design, build, and maintain high-impact Tableau dashboards that serve as the single source of truth across the business. β€’ Act as a strategic partner to cross-functional teams; effectively manage expectations, prioritise work based on business value, and translate technical findings into commercial language. β€’ Champion data accuracy and consistency; implement best practices for data validation and documentation. About you: β€’ 4+ years experience as a Data Analyst or Analytics Engineer. β€’ Advanced proficiency in SQL (Window functions, CTEs, query optimization) for complex data extraction and manipulation. β€’ Experienced in building, testing, and documenting data models using dbt. β€’ Advanced proficiency in Tableau; able to design complex, performant, and intuitive dashboards (LOD expressions, advanced actions). β€’ Experience with Version Control (Git) for managing model changes and collaboration. β€’ You can take a vague business question and independently drive it to a structured solution. β€’ Exceptional communication skills; confident in challenging stakeholders, influencing decision-making, and presenting to senior leadership. β€’ Able to adapt quickly to new environments and deliver value immediately with minimal supervision.
