Job Title: Senior Data Engineer
Location: Dallas, TX/Charlotte, NC (Remote)
Duration: Long term
Responsibilities:
• Strong hands-on 10+ years experience with modern data engineering stack including Hadoop, Spark, Python, Scala, Redis, Kafka, and Kafka Streams/KStream for building scalable data pipelines and real-time processing solutions.
• Proven ability to design, optimize, and maintain large-scale distributed data platforms, streaming architectures, and high-performance ETL/ELT workflows.
• Exposure emerging AI/data technologies including vector databases, graph databases, and AI/ML data platform integrations to support next-generation analytics and intelligent applications.
• Be comfortable with client interaction- needs to be client facing
• Give client presentations
• Strong Executive presence
• Kafka experience is a must-have.
• Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold the firm’s respectful and courteous work environment.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
• Experience with data integration and ETL tools, such as Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, or Talend
• Proficiency in SQL and database technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Knowledge of data modeling and database design principles
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
