Onsite/ Hybrid/ Remote: Onsite (4 days a week)
Work Authorization: GC, USC (Only W2, No C2C or C2H)
Duration: 25 months
Must Have:
β’ 5+ years of experience in data engineering or similar role
β’ Expertise in SQL and ability to write complex queries
β’ Experience with Python and/or Scala/Java
β’ Experience with at least one of the following database technologies: MySQL, Snowflake, Hive
β’ Familiarity with statistical methods for data evaluation
β’ Experience working in big data environments (Hadoop, S3, HBase)
Responsibilities:
β’ Build models using SQL, Scala, and Python to measure and evaluate the quality, consistency, resilience, accuracy, and availability of data
β’ Provide clear and actionable metrics that show stakeholders the βstateβ of their data
β’ Develop and automate data rules to verify data meets boundary conditions and alert data owners/consumers when these conditions are met
β’ Automate processes, procedures, and workflows to streamline data certification
β’ Collaborate with engineering, management, product, and business teams to improve data reliability across projects
Qualifications:
β’ 5+ years of experience designing and executing data queries
β’ Strong ability to read/write complex SQL queries for data analysis and defect investigation
β’ Familiarity with statistical methods to assess data quality
β’ Proficiency with at least one or more industry-standard database technologies (MySQL, Snowflake, Hive)
β’ 3+ years of programming experience with Python or Scala/Java
β’ Proficiency with reporting tools such as Tableau or Looker (preferred)
β’ Experience with version control tools like git (preferred)
β’ Proficiency in machine learning model development (preferred)
β’ Strong stakeholder engagement skills
β’ Bachelorβs degree in a STEM field
