About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with a strong background in the banking domain to join our team on a short-term contract. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and stakeholder management skills to support data initiatives across key banking functions.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Develop robust and efficient data solutions using Python and SQL
β’ Perform complex data analysis to support critical banking functions
β’ Work across financial crime domains (e.g. KYC, AML), CRM, payments, transfers, and card systems
β’ Collaborate with a large and diverse stakeholder group to gather and translate requirements
β’ Participate in full SDLC, from requirement gathering to deployment, using Scrum methodologies
β’ Document business, stakeholder, and solution requirements with clarity and accuracy
Required Skills & Experience
β’ 8+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles
β’ Proficiency in Python and SQL
β’ Strong analytical skills and experience working with large datasets
β’ Solid domain knowledge in banking, especially in financial crime (KYC/AML), payments, and CRM
β’ Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
β’ Proven ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across technical and business teams
