Role description
🚀 Cognite Developer – Contract (London, Hybrid)
• Rate: £400/day | IR35: Outside
• Duration: 6–12 months
• Location: London (Hybrid – 3 days onsite / 2 days remote)
• Experience Required: 6+ years
We are partnering with a leading consultancy delivering large-scale data and digital transformation programmes for major industrial clients. They are seeking an experienced Cognite Developer to join a long-term engagement focused on building modern, data-driven solutions using Cognite Data Fusion (CDF).
This role is well suited to a senior developer who enjoys hands-on engineering, robust data modelling, and working on complex, real-world industrial use cases.
💡 Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and enhance solutions on Cognite Data Fusion (CDF)
• Build services and integrations using Cognite APIs and SDKs (Python, JavaScript, or .NET)
• Design and implement data models using Spaces, Views, and Knowledge Graph concepts
• Develop and maintain data pipelines and automated workflows
• Produce high-quality, production-ready code aligned with software engineering best practices
• Collaborate closely with consultancy teams and client stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
✅ Essential Skills & Experience
This is a Cognite-focused role; demonstrable hands-on experience is required.
• Strong experience working with Cognite Data Fusion
• Proficient in using Cognite SDKs and APIs (Python preferred)
• Solid understanding of Cognite data modelling (Spaces, Views, Knowledge Graph)
• Proven experience in data integration and workflow development
• Strong software engineering background
• Experience working in a client-facing or consultancy environment
• Minimum of 6 years’ relevant development experience
⭐ Desirable (Not Essential)
• Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Background in industrial domains such as Energy, Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, or Utilities
• Exposure to analytics, AI, or agent-based architectures
