Are you a seasoned Data Engineer ready to architect complex, scalable data solutions? Trissential is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our clientβs team and take charge of transforming financial data into high-performing Snowflake models in AWS. Youβll lead the technical buildout of ELT pipelines, drive automation, and enforce engineering excellence in a highly regulated financial environment.

Your Role & Responsibilities
Ingest and transform complex financial data into structured Snowflake tables and views
Design and optimize physical data models for performance, cost efficiency, and traceability
Build, schedule, and monitor ELT workflows using tools like dbt, Airflow, or Prefect
Implement automated data validation and reconciliation for audit-ready pipelines
Leverage Snowflake features (streams, tasks, Snowpark, resource monitors) to optimize performance
Define and uphold coding standards, version control, and CI/CD best practices
Document technical processes and share knowledge with the broader engineering team
Collaborate with data modelers, analytics teams, and SMEs to ensure domain alignment
Mentor junior engineers and advocate for continuous improvement and data governance
Skills & Experience You Should Possess
8+ years of data engineering experience, including recent work in cloud data warehouse environments
Deep expertise in Snowflake architecture, performance tuning, and security controls
Advanced SQL and Python skills for building efficient, maintainable pipelines
Demonstrated success delivering data solutions in regulated industries like finance
Hands-on experience with orchestration tools such as dbt, Airflow, or Prefect
Proficiency with Git, automated testing, and CI/CD workflows
Strong ability to translate conceptual models into scalable physical implementations
Bonus Points If You Have
SnowPro Core or Advanced certification
Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or CloudFormation)
Familiarity with BI platforms like Tableau or Power BI
Knowledge of dimensional modeling or data vault methodologies
Education & Certifications You Need
Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
SnowPro Core/Advanced certification preferred but not required
