Role description
Senior Data Engineer β Microsoft Fabric | US Remote
We are working with a high-growth organization looking for a Senior Data Engineer who can operate at the design and architecture level, not just development.
This is an opportunity for someone who understands modern data platform design patterns and can help shape how new engineering programs are built following the introduction of Microsoft Fabric and Lakehouse-based analytics.
You should be someone who can receive business or architectural requirements and confidently determine whether the solution will work, suggest improvements, or propose alternative approaches based on engineering best practices.
What we are looking for
β’ Strong experience as a Senior Data Engineer working with modern Azure data platforms
β’ Hands-on expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, and Lakehouse / warehouse architecture
β’ Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL
β’ Experience designing and implementing Medallion architecture and Gold-layer semantic models
β’ API-based integration experience is highly desirable
β’ Experience integrating or working alongside Salesforce CRM environments is a plus
The Role
β’ Drive data platform design decisions and help evolve engineering programs beyond legacy SSIS-style patterns
β’ Translate architectural requirements into scalable, production-ready solutions
β’ Improve existing pipelines and introduce modern design approaches
β’ Work closely with technical and product teams to ensure platform reliability and performance
Location & Working Model
β’ US Remote (must be able to work 8 AM β 5 PM Central Time)
β’ Preference for candidates who can collaborate across US teams, with optional in-person collaboration in Austin, Chicago, or New York if desired
If you are a Senior Data Engineer passionate about modern data platform engineering and want to work with cutting-edge Fabric and Lakehouse technologies, please apply and I will get in touch.
