Role description
Duration: 6+ Months
Location: PA-Philadelphia, Hybrid 3-4 days onsite
Overview: Every Turnberry consultant belongs to a practice, an internal group of consultants and leaders with shared experience and expertise. Each of these practices aligns to one of the core services Turnberry offers to clients. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will join Turnberry's Data Strategy and Intelligence practice and service. This service provides insights into company data, advanced analytics solutions, robust data governance, and tailored solutions for specific data challenges.
Responsibilities
β’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into digital products and workflows, partnering with engineers to translate prototypes into scalable features and services
β’ Lead the technical evaluation of external AI/ML tools and vendors, influencing decisions for the technology stack
β’ Conduct exploratory proof-of-concept studies to assess potential deployment architectures and evaluate new data engineering technologies
β’ Propose, promote, and facilitate paved paths for algorithm integration and productization, laying foundations for feedback loops and data flywheels
β’ Collaborate with the team to implement and maintain the ML architecture, including data pipelines and applications that enable training and inference of ML models in production
β’ Identify and execute opportunities to scale algorithm impact, manage algorithm dependencies, and expand algorithm distribution
β’ Contribute to end-to-end algorithm projects across different domains
β’ Collaborate with the team to implement and maintain automated monitoring of deployed models to assess their performance, uptime, etc
β’ Foster strong cross-functional partnerships
Qualifications
β’ Expert in DBT, Snowflake, BigQuery, and building data-engineering pipelines
β’ Strong coding skills and software development experience
β’ Proficiency in Python is required
β’ Experience with Google Cloud Platform
β’ Proven track record of delivering high-impact, algorithm-driven software systems and solutions
β’ Experience deploying machine learning models in production
β’ Hands-on experience with large-scale data processing, data engineering, and automation
β’ Excellent communicator
β’ Comfortable with ambiguity; able to take ownership and thrive with minimal oversight and process
β’ Passion for bridging algorithms with tooling and workflows
The salary range for this role is $135,000 to $195,000 or the hourly equivalent.
