TITLE: Senior Data Governance Consultant – Collibra, Data Quality, DAMA/DMBOK LOCATION: Remote PAY: Target pay range is $70-80 per hour and may vary based on experience ENGAGEMENT TYPE: Contract DURATION: Contract expected to last 6 months What You’ll Be Doing This is a Senior-level Data Governance Consultant role focused on driving enterprise-wide data governance and data quality initiatives. You will lead planning and execution of data and BI governance efforts, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and governance standards. This role plays a key part in metadata management, business glossary curation, and data quality rule implementation while partnering closely with business and technical stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Include • Leading data governance initiatives, deliverables, and timelines • Driving metadata curation and ensuring accuracy and consistency within the business glossary • Defining, implementing, and enforcing data quality rules • Ensuring semantic alignment of technical and business metadata across enterprise data domains • Applying governance standards consistently across all workstreams • Proactively identifying risks, resolving issues, and escalating blockers as needed • Coaching and mentoring team members on data governance best practices • Communicating governance value, adoption, and program success across stakeholders This is an opportunity to influence governance maturity and make a measurable impact on enterprise data quality and trust. Who We’re Looking For • 8+ years of experience in data governance and data management implementations • Proven experience leading data governance, data quality, and data stewardship initiatives • Strong understanding of the DAMA/DMBOK framework • Hands-on experience with metadata management and business glossaries • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills • Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s degree preferred or equivalent experience) Nice To Have • Hands-on experience with Collibra Data Governance and/or Collibra Data Quality • Experience delivering data governance work in an Agile environment • Familiarity with data modeling concepts Authorization to work in the U.S. is required; sponsorship is not available.
