Senior Data Modeler

• Job Title: Data Modeler • Location: Burns Building, 605 Suwannee Street, Tallahassee, FL 32399 • Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience) 📌 Job Responsibilities: • Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines & architectures using Alteryx Designer. • Create and maintain logical data models in Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler. • Perform data cleansing, transformations, and enrichment. • Develop and implement data quality standards, metrics, and monitoring procedures. • Maintain ETL code repository and optimize workflows for performance & scalability. • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and security best practices. • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to optimize models and algorithms. • Monitor and tune data systems, resolve performance bottlenecks. • Provide mentorship and leadership to junior staff. 📌 Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs): • 3–5 years of experience in data engineering with Alteryx Designer. • Proficiency in Alteryx Designer, Python, and SQL. • Strong data modeling and relational database design skills. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work independently and manage priorities. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Proficiency Level 3). 📌 Preferred KSAs: • Familiarity with environmental science, water quality, or related fields. • Experience with data warehouses, data lakes, or lakehouses. • Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Qlik Sense).
