Role description
Data Modeller – HIRING ASAP
Start date: ASAP
Duration: 6 months initially
Location: 1-2 days per week in London office, 3-4 days remote per week
Rate: £550 per day inside IR35
We are seeking a Data Modeller to design, develop, and maintain data models that support business and analytics needs. The role involves working closely with stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to ensure data structures are accurate, scalable, and aligned with business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models
• Translate business requirements into clear data structures
• Ensure data models support reporting, analytics, and operational use cases
• Collaborate with data engineers on database and warehouse design
• Define data standards, naming conventions, and best practices
• Maintain data model documentation and metadata
• Review and optimize existing data models for performance and scalability
• Support data governance and data quality initiatives
Required Skills & Experience
• Experience in data modelling (conceptual, logical, physical)
• Data Vault 2.0 experience
• Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL
• Experience with data modelling tools (e.g., ER/Studio, ERwin, PowerDesigner, or similar)
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts (e.g., star/snowflake schemas)
• Ability to work with business and technical stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
