Job Description: Senior Data Science Analyst | Remote Optomi, in partnership with a global leader in the healthcare industry, is seeking a Senior Data Science Analyst to join their team. You will be instrumental in developing, deploying, and maintaining advanced machine learning models using Google Cloud’s Vertex AI, Python, and other cloud-native tools. Your work will directly impact patient care, research, and clinical decision-making across the organization. What the right candidate will have: • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred). • 9+ years of professional experience in data analytics or data science roles, with strong applied machine learning skills. • Hands-on experience using Vertex AI for model training, deployment, and monitoring in production environments. • Proficiency in Python for data analysis and modeling, including use of libraries such as Pandas, scikit-learn, and TensorFlow or PyTorch. • Experience with SQL and cloud data platforms (preferably GCP BigQuery, Cloud Storage, etc.). • Strong problem-solving skills, business acumen, and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly. Responsibilities of the right candidate: • Develop, analyze, and interpret large-scale datasets to uncover actionable insights in clinical care, operations, and research. • Design and deploy predictive models and machine learning workflows using Vertex AI and Python. • Build and maintain data pipelines and MLOps infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). • Communicate complex technical results to non-technical audiences, including clinicians and healthcare leadership. • Partner with stakeholders to define analytics needs, scope projects, and deliver measurable impact. • Ensure data integrity, model validation, and compliance with healthcare data standards and privacy requirements (HIPAA, PHI). • Collaborate with teams to promote best practices in data science, reproducibility, and responsible AI.
