Role description
The Senior Data Scientist will serve as a key leader within the Advanced Analytics and Solutions team, driving strategic, data-driven decision-making by designing and implementing advanced analytics solutions for complex healthcare and business challenges. This role will leverage deep expertise with healthcare datasets, advanced statistical modeling, and machine learning, working extensively with data sources such as the Epic Clarity database. The Senior Data Scientist will be responsible for guiding analytical strategy, developing innovative solutions, and mentoring junior team members, while ensuring the organization maximizes the value of its data assets. Responsibilities β€’ Lead the development and deployment of advanced statistical, machine learning, and AI models for healthcare and operational use cases. β€’ Design, review, and optimize complex SQL queries and ETL processes for Epic Clarity and other large-scale data sources. β€’ Develop and maintain sophisticated Power BI solutions tailored for strategic and operational decision-making. β€’ Perform in-depth data analysis using Python, including statistical modeling, hypothesis testing, and automation. β€’ Communicate complex technical concepts and insights to non-technical executives with clarity and impact. β€’ Champion data quality, integrity, and governance standards across analytics initiatives. β€’ Mentor and provide oversight to junior analysts and data scientists, fostering a culture of learning and excellence. Preferred Qualifications β€’ Master’s or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline. β€’ 5+ years of professional experience in data science, with proven expertise in healthcare analytics. β€’ Deep knowledge of Epic Clarity data models and healthcare-related datasets. β€’ Proven track record in developing and deploying machine learning models in production environments. β€’ Expert-level proficiency in SQL, Power BI, and Python for data analysis, transformation, and visualization. β€’ Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and mentoring skills. β€’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences, from technical teams to executive leadership.
