Senior Data Scientist – Agentic AI (SC Cleared) 📍 UK (Hybrid / Government Site as Required) 📅 6-Month Contract 💰 Competitive Day Rate (Outside IR35) 🔐 Active SC Clearance Required We’re looking for a Senior Data Scientist to lead the data science delivery of a large-scale agentic AI product build within a government environment. This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you’ll be designing and building core components of an AI system that processes government applications and provides recommendation outcomes. You will: • Lead the technical delivery of a data science-heavy agentic system • Design and develop components that: extract relevant policy, summarise and generates structured recommendations • Build and deploy LLM/RAG-based pipelines and agentic workflows • Work closely with engineers to ensure solutions are production-ready and secure • Distribute work across a small team of data scientists and engineers • Act as the technical point of contact between client and delivery teams • Present complex AI solutions clearly to senior stakeholders 🎯 What We’re Looking For 👉 Active SC Clearance (essential) 👉 Proven experience leading data science-heavy product builds 👉 Hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG, agentic AI systems 👉 Strong background in decision-support or recommendation systems 👉 Experience productionising ML/LLM systems (CI/CD, cloud deployment) 👉 Confident stakeholder engagement and technical leadership
