Role description
Job Title: Senior Data Scientist (AI/ML & Generative AI – Healthcare) Location: Irvine, CA (Hybrid/Onsite) Duration: 12+ Months (05/18/2026 – 05/14/2027) Job Description Senior Data Scientist to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale AI/ML and Generative AI solutions supporting Medicare Risk Adjustment initiatives. This role is ideal for an experienced data scientist with expertise in machine learning, NLP, LLMs, deep learning, and healthcare analytics, who can build production-grade AI solutions while mentoring technical teams. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement end-to-end AI/ML solutions for Medicare Risk Adjustment and healthcare analytics. • Develop predictive models, NLP applications, LLM-based solutions, and Generative AI workflows. • Build scalable ML pipelines using Python, PySpark, Spark, Hive, and Databricks. • Deploy and monitor production ML models, including MLOps, model versioning, drift detection, and performance optimization. • Develop clinical NLP solutions for entity extraction, summarization, classification, and coding intelligence. • Collaborate with business, engineering, and clinical stakeholders to deliver high-impact AI solutions. • Mentor junior data scientists and provide technical leadership across AI initiatives. Required Skills • 6+ years of experience in Data Science, AI/ML, or Advanced Analytics. • Strong programming experience with Python and PySpark. • Expertise in Apache Spark, Hive, Databricks, and distributed data processing. • Hands-on experience with Machine Learning, Deep Learning, PyTorch, and TensorFlow. • Experience with LLMs, Generative AI, Prompt Engineering, and NLP. • Knowledge of MLOps, model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management. • Strong statistical modeling, feature engineering, and experimentation skills. • Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with Medicare Risk Adjustment, HCC, and CMS programs. • Hands-on experience with CMS datasets (MMR, MOR, EDPS, Encounter Data). • Healthcare, clinical, coding, or claims analytics experience. • Experience mentoring or leading data science teams.
