These are Hybrid in Stamford, CT or Midtown, NY (Hybrid – 3 to 4 days onsite) Job Title: Senior Data Scientist / ML Engineer Client: Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits Location: 100% Remote Employment Type: Contract (Long-Term) Rate: $80 – $85/hr W2 Work Authorization: GC, USC, H4 EAD, L2 EAD, TN ONLY About the Role We’re looking for a Senior Data Scientist / Machine Learning Engineer with deep expertise in Recommendation Systems and Matrix Factorization to join the innovation-driven team at Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits. This is a high-impact, fully remote role working on next-generation personalization models and AI-driven recommendations at scale. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, train, and deploy machine learning models that power recommendation engines, hybrid search, and intelligent automation for real-world business applications. Key Responsibilities • Design and develop advanced machine learning algorithms and deep learning applications for recommendation systems. • Fine-tune and deploy open-source models, including OpenAI (GPT-4)-based solutions, for intelligent recommendations and query responses. • Implement and optimize hybrid search and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) techniques for enhanced recommendation accuracy. • Build high-performance search applications using ElasticSearch and OpenSearch. • Develop and monitor ML pipelines, ensuring model retraining, versioning, and lifecycle management. • Automate data ingestion and model workflows with Airflow (MWAA) and Databricks. • Collaborate with Data Science, DevOps, and Engineering teams to operationalize ML systems at scale. • Build evaluation frameworks that incorporate user feedback to continuously improve model performance. • Manage large datasets and optimize training pipelines for deep learning models. • Ensure robust, scalable, and secure deployments using AWS services such as Bedrock, Redshift, S3, EC2, and CloudWatch. Required Skills & Experience • Proven hands-on experience with Recommendation Systems and Matrix Factorization / Econometrics models. • Strong background in Python and Java, with proficiency in ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, XGBoost, and Hugging Face. • Expertise in ElasticSearch, OpenSearch, and hybrid search applications. • Practical experience with AWS (Bedrock, Redshift, Airflow, Databricks, S3, EC2). • Strong understanding of ML pipelines, MLOps automation, and continuous model monitoring. • Demonstrated success deploying large-scale machine learning systems in production. • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with technical and business stakeholders. Nice to Have • Experience with Feature Stores (AWS SageMaker Feature Store, Feast). • Familiarity with Kubeflow, SageMaker Pipelines, or Vertex AI. • Exposure to LLM-based models, vector databases, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) architectures. • Background in A/B testing, shadow deployments, or ML experimentation framework ABOUT US: Anagh Technologies is a technical consulting firm specializing in UI, Front-End, and Full-Stack web technologies.
