Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join their team! This is a remote position.
Duties
β’ Analyze large datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in the tools and AI-powered features
β’ Build datasets for testing models both generative and predictive in collaboration with partner teams
β’ Participate in technical discussions and drive engineering investments in responsible AI to improve model fairness and safety prior to launch
β’ Compare between different tools and library options both company-built and open-source to identify the most appropriate one for the task at hand
β’ Develop quantitative metrics to help surface insights from structured datasets
β’ Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to track key metrics and KPIs
β’ Monitor and analyze logs data for harms threats and insights
β’ Create data visualizations to communicate insights and trends to stakeholders
β’ Ensure data quality and integrity by identifying and addressing data discrepancies and errors
Desired Skills/Experience:
β’ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
β’ 5+ years of hands-on experience in engineering roles focused on Machine Learning, Information Retrieval, Recommendation Systems, Personalization, Natural Language Processing, Learning to Rank, and RAG
β’ Fluent in building and prototyping machine learning models and algorithms and wrangling large datasets
β’ Proficient in using Python and common machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, Pandas, PyTorch, SciPy, scikit-learn, and JAX to implement models and algorithms
β’ Experience deploying and managing AI solutions on cloud platforms such as AWS SageMaker and Amazon Bedrock
β’ Proficient in SQL, shell scripting, and Unix Linux command-line tools
β’ Strong understanding of evolving fairness standards and ability to meet both state-of-the-art and global requirements for fairness evaluation, particularly in generative AI
β’ Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including engineers, data scientists, and researchers
