Senior Data Strategist

Role Details • Role - Senior Data Strategist • Location - Remote • Pay - $70-$100 per hour • Length - Initial 3-month contract • Utilization - 20-25 hours/week • Benefits - Health, dental, vision, 401k for W2 employees Role Summary • Act as a bridge between business objectives and technical execution, managing engagements and driving outcomes through collaboration and leadership. Key Responsibilities • Lead discovery sessions to translate vision and business requirements into actionable technical plans. • Develop delivery roadmaps, define milestones, and manage scope, timelines, and budgets. • Coordinate cross-functional teams including data engineers, analytics engineers, and BI developers. • Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. • Provide regular status updates and communicate risks with mitigation strategies. • Recommend high-level data architecture approaches balancing cost, security, and scalability. • Identify opportunities for engagement extensions and contribute to proposals. Requirements • Proven experience leading complex, multi-team data projects. • Strong Agile and project management skills. • Hands-on background in analytics, analytics engineering, or data engineering. • Knowledge of modern data stack (Fivetran, Databricks, Snowflake, dbt, Tableau, Looker). • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. • Ability to operate in matrixed environments and influence without direct authority.
