Requirements:
• 10+ years of experience administering and tuning enterprise SQL Server databases in high-volume production environments.
• Proficiency in advanced SQL performance tuning, indexing strategies, partitioning, and execution plan analysis.
• Experience in database monitoring, alerting, and capacity planning using enterprise monitoring tools.
• Experience in relational data modeling, logical/physical schema design, and data dictionary standards.
• Experience with Java-based backend systems using JPA, JDBC, REST APIs, and unit testing frameworks.
• Experience in database automation, backup/recovery scripting, and CI/CD-aligned schema deployments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-team collaboration and documentation.
Responsibilities:
• Design, manage, and optimize SQL Server databases supporting mission-critical enterprise applications.
• Performance engineering through SQL tuning, stored procedure optimization, and query refactoring.
• Developing high-performance Java data access layers and data-centric REST services.
• Reviewing application code to prevent ORM inefficiencies and database anti-patterns.
• Database schema design, data modeling, and documentation for new application features.
• Database monitoring, maintenance, upgrades, and automated operational tasks.
• Communicate database health, risks, and improvements clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
