Responsibilities Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Databricks Engineer in Charlotte, NC. Summary: A large enterprise-level company is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to support data and analytics projects. This team handles technology for Data Engineering, Analytics, Reporting, and ML Ops across multiple business areas. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, technically strong, and have a proven record of delivering projects. Day-to-day Responsibilities: • Develop and support new and existing data applications • Collaborate with business stakeholders and analysts to understand data and processes, providing recommendations for best practices and future system design • Work closely with architects to review designs and ensure proper implementation • Provide technical guidance on complex data solutions • Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and documentation • Maintain documentation to support downstream integrations • Troubleshoot production issues • Support Scrum team activities • Identify emerging technology trends and opportunities Technical Environment • Heavy focus on Azure Databricks and cloud data engineering • Involvement in data products related to analytics across various business domains • Work closely with Data Scientists on visualization projects using Power BI and other platforms • Primarily engineering-focused (90%) with some business interaction (10%) Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred • 5 to 10 years' experience in Data Warehousing, Data Integration, or Data Engineering • Proficient with Azure Databricks and the Azure ecosystem • Strong SQL skills • Experience with Python or Scala • Familiarity with data modeling and its impact on KPIs • Strong engineering mindset • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments • Ability to think creatively and proactively recommend solutions • Experience with Power BI, AzureML, Synapse, or related analytical platforms preferred • Experience with Azure DevOps and GitHub is a plus • Exposure to ETL tools or similar systems (e.g., Informatica, IICS) a plus The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role.
