Job Summary:
Seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior DataHub Architect to lead the design, implementation, and governance of an enterprise metadata and data discovery platform. This role is pivotal in shaping data governance and cataloging strategies, leveraging DataHub as the core platform for centralized metadata management, lineage tracking, and data observability.
Key Responsibilities:
Architect and customize DataHub deployment, including storage, ingestion pipelines, and UI/UX extensions.
Integrate DataHub with data warehouses, lakes, BI tools, pipelines (e.g., Airflow), and third-party APIs.
Extend DataHub metadata models and schema registries.
Design lineage tracking and metadata enrichment for structured/unstructured data.
Guide cross-functional teams across architecture, engineering, analytics, and governance.
Partner with data governance teams for metadata harvesting and discovery.
Build ingestion pipelines using Kafka, REST APIs, Python, and plug-ins (e.g., Snowflake, Power BI, Git, Tableau).
Implement metadata lifecycle management, data quality monitoring, and catalog usage best practices.
Ensure DataHub supports data protection, classification, and auditability.
Define and monitor success metrics for catalog adoption and trustworthiness.
Collaborate with integration architects to connect DataHub with broader IT ecosystems.
Educate data producers/consumers on metadata tagging and consumption.
Oversee the full delivery lifecycle: design, development, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
Review and approve technical designs and integration code.
Manage vendor relationships and ensure architectural alignment.
Maintain governance frameworks and report on architectural progress.

Kafka, REST APIs, Python, SQL, JSON
Integration with modern data stacks (e.g., Snowflake, Airflow, Git)
Experience with:
CI/CD, containerization, cloud-native deployments
Agile methodologies and DevOps
Data privacy frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA)
Federated data ownership, data mesh/fabric architectures
Relevant certifications preferred.
