Key Responsibilities
β’ Contribute to our excellent team of 6 senior engineers, setting technical direction while coding and problem-solving.
β’ Own the end-to-end delivery of features, ensuring speed, scalability, and quality are never compromised.
β’ Architect, develop, and maintain core SaaS platform components across the stack: Backend: Python, PostgreSQL Frontend: TypeScript, NextJS/NodeJS
β’ Ensure smooth integration of AI tools, APIs, and data pipelines to enhance platform intelligence.
β’ Champion engineering best practices, including testing, CI/CD, and secure coding standards.
β’ Conduct regular code reviews and provide technical mentorship.
β’ Reporting to the Head of AI and Technology to align development priorities with business objectives.
β’ Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and high performance.
β’ Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues quickly, ensuring platform reliability and uptime.
Skills and Experience
β’ 8+ years of commercial software development experience.
β’ Proven success in high-performing engineering teams in fast-paced
β’ environments.
β’ Deep expertise in development with: Python (Django, Flask, or FastAPI), PostgreSQL (design, optimisation, maintenance), Containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes), Event-driven architecture (Kafka/RabbitMQ),
β’ Nice to have experience with:TypeScript / JavaScript (NextJS, NodeJS, Tailwind), Terraform and DevOps
β’ Experience building and scaling SaaS platforms in production.
β’ Strong background in software architecture, microservices, and API design.
β’ Hands-on experience with AWS platform.
β’ Track record of delivering high-quality software under tight timelines.
β’ Strong communication skills, able to motivate and align technical teams.
β’ Experience with AI tools, APIs, or ML pipelines is highly desirable.
β’ Bonus: exposure to startup environments.
