12 Month Fixed Term Contract
As a Senior Dynamics 365 Engineer, you’ll lead the design, development and evolution of complex Dynamics 365 solutions across Irwin Mitchell. Working closely with Product Managers, Engineers and stakeholders, you’ll translate business needs into scalable, secure and high-performing solutions.
You’ll take ownership of development standards and best practice within your product team, mentor other engineers and provide technical leadership across the full delivery lifecycle — from design through to support.
This is a senior, hands-on role where you’ll combine deep technical expertise with strong collaboration and leadership skills.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Designing, developing and customising Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions aligned to business needs
• Leading development across multiple user stories within agile product teams
• Providing technical leadership and mentoring to other Dynamics engineers
• Designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for D365 using Azure DevOps
• Developing plugins, custom actions, workflows and integrations using C# and Azure services
• Owning configuration and customisation across D365 (entities, forms, workflows, business rules and integrations)
• Ensuring solutions are secure, well-documented, high quality and performant
• Acting as technical lead for critical and P1 incidents within your product area
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders, suppliers and software partners
• Contributing to innovation, including exploration of generative AI within the Power Platform
• Deep expertise in Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform
• Experience architecting complex, multi-solution, multi-environment D365 implementations
• Strong C# development skills (plugins, custom workflows and actions)
• Extensive experience with model-driven apps, configurations, workflows and business processes
• Proven experience integrating D365 with external systems (Power Automate, Azure Functions, REST APIs, Plugins)
• Experience managing CI/CD pipelines, source control and automated deployments
• Strong experience across Power Platform technologies including Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Power BI and Azure
• Experience working in Agile product teams
• 25 days holidays as standard plus bank holidays - You can ‘buy’ up to 35hrs of extra holiday too.
• Generous and flexible pension schemes.
• Volunteering days – Two days of volunteering every year for a cause of your choice (fully paid)
• Westfield Health membership, offering refunds on medical services alongside our Aviva Digital GP services.
We also offer a wide range of well-being initiatives to encourage positive mental health both in and out of the workplace and to make sure you’re fully supported. This includes our Flexible by Choice programme which gives our colleagues more choice over a hybrid way of working subject to role, team and client requirements.
We have been ranked in the Best Workplaces for Wellbeing for Large Organisations for 2024!
Our responsible business programmes are fundamental to who we are and our purpose. We’re committed to being a diverse and inclusive workplace where our colleagues can flourish, and we have established a number of inclusion network groups across our business to support this aim.
Our commitment to Social Responsibility, community investment activity and tackling climate change is a fundamental part of who we are. It’s made up of four strands: Our People, Our Community, Our Environment and Our Pro Bono.
As part of the Irwin Mitchell Group’s on-boarding process all successful applicants are required to complete the group’s employment screening process. This process helps to ensure that all new employees meet our standards in relation to honesty and integrity therefore protecting the interests of the Group, colleagues, clients, partners and other stakeholders.
We carry out pre employment screening to establish your eligibility to work in the UK, criminal record and financial checks with our trusted 3rd parties.
The employment screening process will fully comply with Data Protection and other applicable laws.
