Requirements of the role
The Strategy and Planning team leads the overall strategic direction of our Communications Directorate. This team plays a crucial role in ensuring that all communications activities are coordinated and aligned with our Business and Communications Plan. By leveraging and sharing insight and evaluation, the team continuously refines and enhances the effectiveness of communications efforts. Additionally, the team is responsible for developing and assessing the effectiveness of the annual Communications Plan.
Role Responsibilities
This role leads the use of insight and evaluation across the directorate, improving the impact and targeting of communications through audience understanding and feedback, while acting as a centre of expertise and building capability across the team. In this role you will:
• Act as the centre of expertise for communications evaluation, providing leadership and upskilling colleagues in tools and techniques to improve local-level evaluation
• Run or facilitate bespoke research (e.g. stakeholder surveys, polling, focus groups) to generate actionable insights Oversee reporting of insights and evaluations to communications teams and senior leadership
• Compile and synthesise insights from across the directorate and organisation into clear, actionable reports that drive impact
• Contribute to the development of the annual FCA Communications Plan
• Manage relationships with external suppliers, including overseeing contracts where relevant for services such as reputation tracking and stakeholder surveys
