Senior ETL Developer

Our client is looking for a Datawarehouse/ETL Developer with experience in designing, developing, testing, and supporting Data Warehouse and ETL processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SSAS, and SSRS, as well as hands-on experience with Azure data platforms and Business Intelligence tools. You will be responsible for maintaining ETL processes, optimizing query performance, and ensuring the timely completion of ETL jobs in a data warehouse environment. Duration: 12 months plus extension Location: Hybrid 2d/week in NYC Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, test, and maintain Data Warehouse and ETL processes to ensure data integrity and accuracy. • Utilize SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SSAS, SSRS, and T-SQL for analysis, report generation, and data warehouse redesign. • Write and optimize complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and views for data integration and transformation processes. • Develop data solutions using Azure platforms such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, Azure Storage, and Azure Pipelines, leveraging IaaS/PaaS services for data-related tasks. • Collaborate with Reporting and DBA teams to perform query performance tuning and optimization. • Monitor and maintain ETL jobs, ensuring timely and successful job completion, and troubleshoot any issues that arise. • Work with Cognos BI or other BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau for report generation and data visualization, as needed. • Perform data cleansing, extraction, transformation, and migration as part of the ETL processes. • Act independently to resolve issues and ensure alignment with business requirements. Required Qualifications: • 8+ years of experience in designing, developing, testing, and supporting Data Warehouse and ETL processes. • Proficiency in SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, and writing complex T-SQL queries and stored procedures. • Knowledge of Azure data platforms, including Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Pipelines. • Experience in monitoring and maintaining ETL jobs with a focus on timely job completion. • Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently. • Experience with Cognos BI, Power BI, or Tableau for reporting and data visualization. • Strong knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, and other Azure data services. • Proficiency in database redesign and optimization using SQL Server.
